Free legal advice is available to all students every Thursday at 1pm on campus through local solicitors Clarkson and Hirst. Appointments can be made for a free initial consultation, followed by  a further 30 minutes of free legal advice and assistance.

The areas in which Clarkson and Hirst are able to assist you with include:

• Housing matters
• Personal injury and criminal injuries compensation claims
• Family law matters – divorce, child access and maintenance
• Civil law matters – financial disputes
• Employment law
• Criminal defence representation
• Consumer matters
• Wills and probate

They can also help you with writing letters to third parties such as landlords or employers.
